    For FSC’S 5305, 5306, 5307 AND 5310 (Nuts). Only manufacturers/distributors listed on the QSLM/QSLD are eligible for an award pursuant to this solicitation (Class 2 Fasteners). Suppliers not quoting in compliance with the QSLM/QSLD requirement must indicate they are deviating from the requirements of the solicitation.

    Any bid/quote/offer/based on a product supplied by other than an approved QSL distributor, even though the product might have been manufactured in accordance with the drawing(s) and/or specification(s) as cited in the purchase order text (POT) is a bid/quote/offer with exception and must be so indicated by the quoter / offeror.

    Any product furnished under a contract or order for a product designated as part of the QSL program, unless specifically authorized by the government in writing, must fully comply with the terms and conditions of the QSL program. Any product, which does not fully comply will be considered an unauthorized substitution, and may yield criminal penalties in addition to any civil remedies available to the government.   For this solicitation, and any resulting order issued to an approved QSLM/QSLD supplier whose quote is based on compliance with the QSL program, references to source inspection are hereby waived. In such cases, COQC, PVT, QAP-EQ003, ASQ H1331, and DLA Troop Support Clause 52246-9I21,   if referenced, do not apply.

  • Material furnished under this contract/order shall have at least 85% of the shelf life remaining at time of delivery. Shelf life markings (cure and expiration dates) shall be in accordance with mil-std-129, latest revision, and shall be shown in calendar quarter and year.

  • All CLASS 3A AND 3B threads will be inspected for dimensional conformance in accordance with SYSTEM 22 of FED-STD-H28/20. This excludes self-locking nuts, internal threads smaller than .190 inch dia and external threads smaller than .138 inch dia.
  • The following requirements apply: external threads will be inspected for dimensional conformance in accordance with SYSTEM 23 of FED-STD-H28/20. This excludes rod end bearings which may be gaged using SYSTEM 22. wire rope terminal studs, rod end clevis’ and all nails, keys or pins (FSC 5315) may be inspected using SYSTEM 21 of FED-STD-H28/20
  • Packaging code ZZ/each fastener shall have the entire length of the shank and thread protected by a wrap or sleeve.
  • This item is designated as a special high strength fastener and is required to support the DOD aviation community.

    Articles to be furnished hereunder shall be manufactured, tested and inspected in accordance with requisite technical data, and all details and specifications referenced therein.

    Supplemental requirements
     
    1. Additionally, stress durability testing completed for the evaluation of this fastener, shall be performed in accordance with the elongation method, external loading method, or strain gage method of NASM1312-5. The torque method of loading is not acceptable. Samples shall be loaded from 75% to 80% of the actual ultimate tensile strength of the fastener determined by testing, and maintained for 72 hours. Samples shall be examined for cracking and/or fracture in accordance with NASM1312-5.
    2. All bolts, 100% of the manufacturing lot, shall be examined by magnetic particle inspection in accordance with the procurement specification. Any bolts having discontinuities equal to or exceeding the limitations specified in the procurement specification shall be rejected. Care must be exercised to avoid confusing cracks, as described within the procurement specification, with other discontinuities.
